School Culture

As a three-day school, we work hard to foster school community and spirit in our shortened week. The entire school gathers together each morning for student and faculty led devotions, announcements, and prayer.

School Houses

Our four houses (Augustine, Basil, Benedict, and Jerome) foster leadership, school spirit, and community. Each student is assigned a house which is led by senior and junior captains who plan monthly activities. The house leaders plan House Days each month. Students engage in friendly athletic, academic, and artistic competition. Activities include kickball tournaments, skits, and trivia competitions. Students wear their house t-shirts and cheer each other on as they compete.

Field Trips

Field Trips and student travel are planned to complement our academic missions. Families may participate in as many or as few as they want. Recent field trips include the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and the Biblical History Center in Georgia.

Optional trips allow students to travel and experience the places they study. Recent trips to Greece, Italy, Ireland, and England allowed students to experience the history and culture of places they’ve learned about throughout the year.
